All B5 six trim levels come with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 260 (Combined) hp and 258 (Combined) lb-ft torque. This is a mild hybrid engine that recovers energy expended when you brake and converts it into power for you to use.
The all-new redesigned Volvo S60 also has hybrid trim levels designated as T8. All T8 trim levels (except for the T8 eAWD Polestar Engineered) come with a 2.0-liter direct-injected turbo and supercharged engine with 87 hp electric motor that makes 400 (Combined) hp and 472 (Combined) lb-ft torque. The T8 eAWD Polestar Engineered Volvo S60 makes 415 (Combined) hp and 472 (Combined) lb-ft torque.

Safety Features
Cross traffic alert with autobrake allows you to safely back up. Your all-new redesigned Volvo S60 automatically senses crossing traffic and applies the brake automatically, if needed. Your all-new redesigned Volvo S60 has collision avoidance built right in, so when you are driving day or night, it senses the road in front of you and alerts you to pedestrians, other vehicles, and large animals in your way. If the driver doesn't react, it will brake automatically or steer the Volvo S60 away to avoid a possible collision. With the blind spot information system (BLIS) your all-new redesigned Volvo S60 will adjust your steering when you change lanes to avoid a collision because of a possible vehicle in your blind spot. Park with ease because you now have a 360-degree panoramic view when parking, thus making it even easier to park in tight spaces.
But that's not all the safety features. Your all-new redesigned Volvo S60 can communicate with other connected road users and by using real-time infrastructure, weather, and traffic information, you can know what hazards are ahead and avoid them. Interior Features
Interior features include more supportive headrests with 80 percent wool fabric. An available neck cushion made from visco-elastic memory foam and covered in either 80 percent wool fabric or soft nubuck textile. All trim levels offer an intuitive 9" Sensus Touchscreen. The B5 Momentum offers Iron Ore decor panels. The Inscription offers genuine wood trim with standard Driftwood decor or available Linear Lime inlays and leather trim. R-Design and Polestar Engineered offer Contour Seats in Nappa Leather/Open Grid Textile and Metal Mesh Aluminum decor inlays.
Exterior Features
Your all-new redesigned Volvo S60 has a classic Thor's Hammer designed front end. The B5 Momentum has alloy wheels and a black grille. The Inscription trim has chrome trim on the lower outer grills, front grill, and side windows and an 18-inch or 19-inch wheel option. The R-Design and Polestar Engineered trim has special alloy wheels and gloss black inserts for the front, outer, and lower grills.
